Good morning,
We have had a significant increase in the amount of incidents involving children over the past few days. Yesterday, a Ringwood officer stopped a young male, who, on spotting the police vehicle, tried to hide a significant amount of cannabis over a wall. It was located, and he will be dealt with for the offence. It will also potentially trigger children's services involvement. He was with other similar aged children.
When your kids go out, do you know who they are actually hanging around with? Where are they actually going? What time are they coming back? Are they riding illegal motorbikes or E-scooters?
Yesterday, the Ringwood team also seized a van for no insurance on the A31. We were aware of reports of a vehicle snooping around driveways, possibly to steal metal. This was only because we saw social media posts. This was apparently reported to us, but we have no record on our system. If we don't know about it, we can't deal with it.
We will proactively deal with any criminality coming into Ringwood, so let us know!
